Our Services
In addition to routine dentistry, listed below are some of the areas in which we can provide the latest treatments & techniques to help solve your treatment needs.

General Dentistry
We will often carry out the treatment under a local anaesthetic over two visits, treating upper and lower jaws on one side at the first visit, and the other side on the second visit.

This will usually involve a deep cleaning of the teeth to remove the plaque and calculus, especially beneath the gum line.
Teeth will often be fairly sensitive following treatment, this can be eased by using toothpaste such as Sensodyne, sometimes by applying them, almost as a cream, to the teeth.

We will help provide any guidance that you might need to help you to maintain your oral hygiene to a level that will help to stop or slow the advancement of the gum disease to an absolute minimum.

Mouthwashes containing chlorhexidine can be useful, however, they will stain the teeth.
In very severe cases long term antibiotics can also be used to aid the other treatments.

Implant Dentistry
Implants replace the roots of missing or broken down teeth and enable us to place a crown that is permanently fixed in the mouth, as much like a natural tooth as is possible.: Undoubtedly the best way to replace missing teeth.

They can be placed at any time, from when the tooth is taken out, to many years later.
A titanium implant is placed into the jaw bone in the space left behind by the root of the tooth.

The implant is then left alone for 3 months for the bone to grow around it and hold it solid within the jaw.

The implant is exposed, impressions taken and the laboratory custom makes a crown to fit into the implant within your mouth.
The crown is tapped into position into the implant and it can then be used straight away.
